Description

Pair of large self-supporting eclectic shelves in carved and gilded wood, Italy third quarter 19th century. Shaped tops covered in velvet, uprights made up of a shaped back part against which, on the front, are carved pilaster-style architectural elements in Baroque style, the latter composed of "S"-shaped volutes with curls at the ends. The pilasters are also decorated with leaf elements and floral festoons held together by ribbons. Partially recovered gilding.
