Description
First edition of this "Work dedicated to the sacrosanct Roman Catholic Church, pillar and teacher of all truth", which saw a second corrected and enlarged edition already in 1786. In the pages of these Observations we can reconstruct the Italian echo of the all-French controversy between Jansenists (here represented by Pietro Tamburini) and Jesuits (order of which Gaetano da Brescia, pseudonym of Diego Giuseppe Fuenzalida, belonged). Beautiful engravings adorn the title page, drop caps and headers
