Description

Exceptional collection of photographs that give us a panorama of Spanish architecture at the end of the 19th century. The photographs were taken by the German architect Max Junghäandel, who, after graduating in architecture from the University of Dresden in 1884, undertook a long trip to Spain the following year, where he put his undoubted photographic talent at the service of his passion as a scholar. Monuments and views of the main Spanish cities are cataloged according to the succession of the different styles of Iberian architecture (Roman, Arab, Moorish, Mudejar, Romanesque, Romanesque, Gothic, Plateresque, Renaissance, Baroque). Our collection, which is certainly missing at least 18 tables, has 173 tables divided into 7 editorial folders.
