Description
With this rare FIRST EDITION we are at the beginning of the poetic activity of Corrado Govoni (1884-1965): his first two collections of poems, Le viale and Armonia in grigio et in silence, were published in 1903 at the Lumachi publishing house in Florence. , at the author's expense. We are in the crespuscular phase of Govoni's artistic career, who at the time collaborated with various literary magazines including Poesia, La Voce and Lacerba, on the threshold of his passage to futurism with Fuochiincendio of 1905. The collection is dedicated to “Al mio white kitty, so that I no longer scratch my hands ... and learn not to want to attack poor canaries anymore "and ends with" Cats are the poets of animals as poets are the cats of men "
